Abiding thanks to you for organizing such a wonderful trip and experience. Am flying out the door but did not want another minute to pass without thanking you, Tatiana and wonderful Michael for such an unforgettable jorney for us all. You sweated all the details for the benefit of each of us; we had such fun, learned so much, became expert at Howler Monkey talk and got along so much better than other families. What a hoot! Hi !! Thank you sooo much for calling! I have been meaning to send you an email with some pictures from our trip. We got back from the honeymoon then immediately left for Tennessee for a friends wedding. Finally, things are getting back to normal. I wanted to thank you for everything! Saint Germain tours were FABULOUS! We had the same driver the entire trip. He was the nicest man! All hotels were great in their own way. They all knew it was our honeymoon too! The Peace Lodge was by far our favorite hotel. It is so unique! Next time you go back to Costa Rica you & your family has to stay here!! Tabacon was nice..but not great. The hot springs were wonderful though. We found the hotel a little boring. Plus it was too cloudy to see any action at the Arenal volcano. Hotel Parador was gorgeous. Such a big, lush, nice property. And just as you promised soooo much wildlife. We ventured into Manuel Antonio and Quepos almost every day. The room issue was resolved so quickly, so thank you sooo much for taking care of it so fast for us. We checked in, went to dinner and ½ way through dinner they let us know of our room change and moved our bags. Thank you soo much!! Here are some pictures from our trip…enjoy!!!! Sylvia & Julia, I just wanted to send you an email to let you know that everyone in our group was very happy with the recent trip to Costa Rica. Besides the birds, animals, friendliness of the people and the beauty of the country they enjoyed your staff. Our driver, Rigo, was especially helpful with those that had some difficulty with some of the climbing and was very patient and helpful. Our guide, Gilbert, was the best guide that I have ever worked with. He is very knowledgeable and has a passion for telling others about his beautiful country. Gilbert was always very helpful and willing to adapt to our groups special needs. Hi Julia! I've been so busy since I got home that I hadn't been able to write you until now. You know it is Spring break and their was a lot of problems and things to take care of. Our weather in the US has been causing a lot of problems with travel. We had the most fantastic time! I'm in love with Costa Rica. Sylvia really planned a wonderful trip for us. It was so much but every new stop was more and more fantastic! The hotels were so wonderful. I loved the Parador and the Arenal Kiora. The Paradisus was, well a Paradisus!! It was a beautiful property but really, if someone wanted to see Costa Rica and only went to the Paradisus, they really haven't SEEN Costa Rica!!!! Michael was a wonderful driver. I couldn't believe all the driving he did, but I'm glad it was him and not me. He is very good at his job and a joy to talk to. Julia, I cannot stop talking about our trip. I can't wait to go back and see and do more. I told Lili about the Fam you want to have and everyone is really excited. I am putting my pictures together and writing a fam log for everyone. I brought back a lot of pictures and brochures from all over. I really liked the Tamarindo Beach area. The hotel was ok but the beach was nice and we loved that town. We found the most wonderful restaurant there called the Lazy Wave. Tel: 653-07-37 We met the French women chef that owns and runs it. It has wonderful food and the restaurant was really beautiful and quaint. You should go there sometime. The food was fabulous and one of the best we ate there. And also Hotel Arenal Volcano Inn - I see on your website that the hotel is rated as a two stars on you comment....It should at least be three star, it was much better service and nice place than Tamarindo Diria. We had a wonderful time in Costa Rica. Thank you for your help in organizing everything. We especially enjoyed our stay in Arenal. We highly recommend the ATV tour through La Pradera Hotel (www.lapraderadelarenal.com) We also enjoyed the skytrek zipline and the waterfall repelling through puretrek (www.puretrekcostarica.com). We were so busy in Arenal that we wished we had stayed there longer. We didn't even get to go to the hot springs there. The excursion to Manuel Antonio was very nice and we recommend getting a local
park guide at the park entrance as they are well worth it (wouldn't have been Freddy Fernandez our driver was wonderful. He even helped us with our laundry in the middle of the trip! The carribean side was kind of hot and more mosquitos but we really enjoyed seeing the wild life there. We unfortunately couldn't go snorkeling at Cahuita due to the rough surf at that time (Hurricaine passed near there). We will recommend you all to our friends who want to go to Costa Rica too! Dear Julia, Our family had an incredible time in Costa Rica. Freddie was a wonderful driver and was very accommodating. All of our accommodations were excellent (Los Suenos, Arenal Kioro, and San Jose Marriott). The weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy a range of activities. We took the crocodile/mangrove cruise down the river, enjoyed the hike and beach at Manuel Antonio (Freddie helped us find an excellent guide), raced all-terrain vehicles to La Fortuna falls, went rappeling down waterfalls with Puretrek, zipped across the rain forest canopy with Sky Trek, toured the La Paz waterfall gardens, and appreciated the wonderful hospitality of all our Costa Rican hosts and guides. We were quite impressed when we learned more about Costa Rica (high literacy rates, no military, emphasis on health and education, Nobel Peace Prize winning President, ecoconservation efforts, etc). We have spoken highly of our visit and have told many friends to go to Costa Rica for their next vacation. We will definitely return for another trip in the future. Good Morning Enrique! Thank you so much for everything you did to make our tour to Costa Rica a huge success! All of the evaluations were excellent and everyone loved Pablo, our guide. One of the ladies wrote, “Pablo excelled in all areas. We can’t say enough about his knowledge of plants, animals, customs, etc. He has wonderful people skills and made it a fun learning experience. He represents his country well and makes us want to come to Costa Rica again and invite friends to also visit this beautiful country.” Pablo did an extraordinary job of sharing information with us, keeping to the schedule and adding stops where available and where time allowed. He assisted with making sure our luggage arrived quickly to the rooms, make certain everyone was doing okay (and we had 2 81-year old ladies with the group), helped select a terrific restaurant when we had a choice and was extremely helpful to everyone. His people skills are outstanding, His positive and quick personality, and his ability to share interesting knowledge, make him a tremendous asset for Saint Germain! You could not have given us a better guide! He is truly an excellent professional guide! The group enjoyed the itinerary and each person indicated a different attraction for their most enjoyable place to visit. The motor coach and driver were very good. We felt safe with both of them. The group enjoyed the typical meals and are probably having “gallo pinto” withdrawal. The group was disappointed that they couldn’t see either Poas or Arenal but I will make copies of photos I took last year and send those to them. That’s something “Mother Nature” controls and they all realized that. Everything went very well while in Costa Rica; however, our flight from Dallas to St. Louis was delayed due to earlier weather conditions so we didn’t get back to our cars in St. Louis until after 2 a.m. I drove home from there so I didn’t get home until 5 a.m. That was a long day since I can’t sleep on a plane or at the airport. Thank you so much for a wonderful tour. I will look forward to returning with teachers next summer. We are marketing those tours throughout our state and hope we have enough bookings to make them run. Please let me know if you need additional information regarding the tour. Again,

Trip was fantastic! We had a lovely time. I'd forgotten how bad the roads were to Monteverde- made for a great adventure. Also loved the transportation adventure from Palmar Sur to the hotel! Sapo Dorado was a lovely place- very friendly and helpful staff and they sent out us out with knowledgable guides. Loved the tours there! Food was fantastic too. We adored Gaia- SO beautiful. Manuel Antonio was really touristy and we got stuck with some very "ugly" american groups.. No one's fault- just the timing. We enjoyed our time in the park as well as our time just laying low at the hotel. Everyone was so friendly there- probably the best service we had for the entire trip. We went to El Avion resturant too- food was nice and the view was pretty! Aguila de Osa was a beatiful place... It almost felt like summer camp though, in that you had to eat with large groups of people, "family style" for all meals. Would have been nice to eat alone at dinner, but it was fine. Not the best diving, as you'd mentioned visibility-wise, but we still saw many sharks, rays, and tropical fish. Corcovado park was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside of our room and watching all the birds every afternoon - a definite highlight for me on the trip! Our guide in San Jose took us to a wonderful restaurant with the most beautiful view of the city. Overall, was an amazing trip and thank you so much for all of your research and assistance. Dear Laura, Thank you so much for arranging our Private Transfers throughout our vacation in Costa Rica. You were wonderful! We had a fantastic time and we were very impressed with the organization, efficiency, helpfulness, safety, security and friendliness of the people who took care of us. Our driver, Alex, who took us to Monteverde, stopped and showed us two sloths up in a tree. He was so kind, friendly and helpful! Miakel was our driver for three days and he was fantastic! He drove us from Monteverde to Playa Hermosa then to Quepos and then to our final destination in San Jose. He was a kind, friendly and wonderful person! He was so helpful, giving us information, and he stopped to show us the crocodiles and showed us many birds as we drove along. He was a wealth of information. He gave us a quick tour of Jaco, arranged Damas Island and Manuel Antonio tours and made sure we were all well taken care of and safe. He helped us in so many ways and took such good care of us and our daughters! Will you let me know if there is a way to get a note of thanks to Miakel or else please forward this to him so he knows how much we appreciate all he did for us. Miakel was an extra special driver! Please let his boss know! Please tell whoever is incharge how impressed we were with the service and our whole experience through ABC Tours. We should have booked our whole trip through you instead of doing it on our own but I didn't know that you could be so flexible. The companies we talked to had packages that didn't go to the surf spots my daughter wanted to visit. ABC Tours was recommended by our friend who had arranged Private Transfers when they were in Costa Rica in April. Your help in choosing some of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and location of parks (even though the 1st one closes on Mondays - when we were there?) was exceptional, the only trouble is i didn't see the Quetzal, and shall have to come back another time. We had the best trip ever, Alexi was a perfect driver, goodness knows how on those roads! We all felt very safe with him. The bus was immaculate, and he knew just when we needed a beer stop! As for (we found out very quickly) that well known and loved all over Cost Rica - Carlos - what can you say...... he was a mine of interesting information, a great character and very profesional in his duties. Enrique, I do have one suggestion. For the lengthy grueling trip from Playa Hermosa - Guanacaste to San Jose, I would strongly recommend the private transportation ($130). We opted for the private shuttle bus ($58). We traveled on a Sun. afternoon/night & I realize weekend traffic & soccer fans returning to the city, added to the length of this trip (6 hours plus). However the bus & the driver were problematic. The driver did not secure the luggage piled to the ceiling at the back of the bus, & before we were out of the complex, several pieces of luggage hit John on the head. The bus was lacking in shocks & had no curtains to keep out the sun & heat. Opting for the more expense transport would have been the better way to travel. To say the very least, it was a beautifully planned and executed
trip. Should we or others we know ever travel your way again we would overwhelmingly
use your very professional services.

Dear Julia, Thank you very much for coordinating the vacation of a lifetime. Everything was perfect! All the drivers were courteous, prompt and always ready to help. We were received with kindness at every hotel and the staff was always hospitable. Everyday was an adventure, whether were going on a jungle tour or just observing the beautiful scenery as we reached our next destination. The food was superb! My favorite Costa Rican dish is the Pico de ….(the rice and beans at breakfast); (smile). Costa Rica and Saint Germain Tours! Our family just returned from a 9 day trip to Costa
Rica. We had a marvelous time and I was extremely pleased with all aspects of
the help and service that we received from Enrique and his staff at St. Germain
Tours. Enrique is extremely knowledgable and he was very helpful in planning
our trip. He advised me on the best places to go and to stay. One place that
we wanted to stay was not available. Enrique suggested an alternative, Selva
Bananito, which turned out to be our favorite for the entire trip. Of all the
great places that we visited (Tortuguero, Poas, Arenal, Monteverde, San Jose)
this one was the most in harmony with nature. We were driven from place to place
in a very new and nice Toyota van with air conditioning when we wanted it. The
driver Alvarro, was extremely capable and nice and he spoke enough English to
communicate well. Enrique and his assistant Yacky are completely fluent in English.
His suggestion of using their driving services is a very good one. When you
leave the main roads you will have long drives on some rough roads. Also there
are very few road signs. It is much better to use a driver and look out the
window at the beautiful scenery.

My step father, Richard Barlett, arranged all the plans with you (I am sure you are very familiar with the name). I wanted you to know what a great time my husband and I had in costa rica. I enjoyed everything your company set up for us. We hit all the big travel spots and got to hit some that were a bit more secluded. Thank you for accommadating such a large group of people that have different activity levels and interest. I have to say what truly made a trip wonderful is our tour guide, Sebastian. I have traveled alot in my life and I have never met such a genuinely nice tour guy who really cares about his job. Although to Sebastian it didn't seem like just a job, he really seems to love what he does. I also have to mention Jose, our fearless bus driver, for all that he put up with and barely knew the english language (tolerating 16 loud americans over 4-6 hour drives). what really makes sebastian and jose different from other tour guides that I have experienced is that they truly care for their guests. My husband get pretty ill on the trip and one night after a 7 hour drive to manual antonio I decided he definitely needed to seek medical attention and go to the hospital. We were all prepared to get a taxi, but sebastian and jose insisted that they take us to the hospital and stay with us. I can't even tell you how much that meant to us. Sebastian stayed by our side and translated for us. When we didn't find the hospital satisfactory, sebastian then at 2am suggested going to a private medical clinic where we found an excellent physician who did help my husband. I couldn't thank both jose and sebastian enough for being so caring and going above the call of duty. I knew they were both exhausted from the long trip, but they stayed with us. My husband and I are so grateful to them both. He was able to enjoy the rest of the trip then. I really can't say enough about Sebastian except that he is a wonderful tour guide and a great friend at this point. I will recommend your company to all of my friends and coworkers. the Richard Barlett group…yes, all 16 of us! Anyway, I just wanted to
let you know how much we enjoyed the trip. I am a little leery of insects and
reptiles, but overall I thought the trip was excellent. I also wanted to thank
you for sending us Sebastian and Jose. They were TERRIFIC!! They truly went
above and beyond the call of duty for us. They were both a delight to be with

I just had to let you know how happy we were with the trip, everything was
excellent. You put together a terrific tour and needless to say your country
is beautiful. I would be amiss if I did not say something about Jose and Sebastian,
you could have not picked to more perfect people for our group. We kind of adopted
both of them into the family we enjoyed every minute with them. I can not express
how happy we were with both of them. They bent over backwards to make sure our
trip was an enjoyable one and they went above and beyond what I would ever have
expected from a tour guide and driver. As Chief of Police in the USA I know
how important it is to surround yourself with good people and you surely have
done that with Sebastian and Jose. With them as employees your company is sure
to grow and prosper and I wish you and them all the best. With that said let
me add one more thing, I am so thankful you allowed Sebastian to stay with us
at Manual Antonio. As it worked out I am thankful they were there. My son-in-law
had to go to the hospital there on Thursday night and Jose and Sebatian took
him and my daughter and stayed with them until 2:00 AM. I do not know what we
would have done without them because Sebastian was able to translate for my
daughter and son-in-law to the doctor, something we would not have been able
to do without him.That is something you do not expect from a tour company and
you can surely be proud and thankful for both these gentlemen. And this is after
Jose spent five hours driving. You are so fortuante to have such dedicated people.
Then the next day my nephew had the unhappy experience of having his wallet
stolen and Sebastian was right there trying to help. I am so glad and I want
to thank you for allowing Sebastian to stay with us for the last two days because
we would have been lost without him. One other thing, my other son-in-law had
his 30th birthday Friday and Sebastian helped us find a birthday cake and celebrate
his birthday. Words just fail to explain how we feel about Sebastian and Jose.
I know I am repeating myself but you cannot go wrong with people like that working
for you. There were just a few in our group (females) that were real apprehensive about this lodge and did not get much sleep. As for me this area was beautiful and full of interesting sights and I loved it there as well as most of our group. The stay here and at Mawamba Lodge gave me a true insight into Costa Rican life. As for me I enjoyed every part of the trip and I want to thank you again for all your work in putting together such a good tour. May God Bless you. January 10, 2005 Thank you for organizing our vacation for us. We had a wonderful holiday. The accommodations you booked were very nice and we had a marvelous time driving around on our own in the 4X4 Hyndai Galloper that you rented for us, In San Jose, we enjoyed staying downtown in the Amon Plaza Hotel, where it was an easy walk to the Central market and very close to the”El Pueblo” area where we had dinner two nights in a row each night in a different restaurant. We recommend “El Pueblo” to any of your travelers because there is shopping, food and nightlife all in one walking area and we felt safe with the security that they provided. The Amon Plaza had a nice restaurant as well with a nice patio area where we enjoyed breakfast in the morning and drinks at night. Initially we were sad that we weren’t able to do the two day white water rafting trip since we booked so late, but the Expedition Tropicales that you substituted was a fun and interesting tour and we were able to see and do quite a lot in one day. The Rio Tropicales River Rafting was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation. The Pacure River was provided both exciting rafting and beautiful scenery and they were very helpful dropping us off at our rental car place afterwards. It rained and was very windy almost all of the time we were in Arenal and Monteverde but, we ventured out in the rain and considered it part of the adventure. We also enjoyed soaking in the hot springs, even though we never were able to see the volcano. In Monteverde we rode horses to the San Luis falls, walked on the sky canopy bridges, zip-lined through the cloud forest and enjoyed our guided tours in the cloud forest reserve. We enjoyed riding the horses but would choose a different excursion because too much of the ride was on the road, though we do recommend highly a trip to the San Luis falls. In Manuel Antonio we enjoyed the hiking tour of it’s reserve and saw many animals with the aid of the guide and his spotting scope none of which we would have ever been able to see on our own. We also went jet skiing and were able to see a family of hump back whales as well as go snorkeling. The New Year’s Eve party at the Parador Hotel was first rate with a fun band and lots of fireworks at midnight. All of the hotels were very good about helping us to book last minute tours, but one we found on our own was the Tropical Bungee jumping off a bridge outside San Jose. We jumped off a 285 foot bridge the morning before we were scheduled to fly home that afternoon which put a nice exclamation point on the whole trip. It was without a doubt a vacation of a lifetime and we owe it all to you. There is no way we would have been able to arrange this vacation on our own, especially on such short notice and we are very grateful that you were able to do it for us. Thanks again, Sincerely,

We are back home and cannot stop thinking about our fantastic vacation adventure in Costa Rica. We talk about it every day. We want to thank you again for the arrangements you made for our trip. Our accomodations were fantastic. The nature lodges you booked for us allowed us to see so much of Costa Rican wildlife while being treated to wonderful Costa Rican hospitality. We saw everything we had hoped to see and more. We watched monkeys, parrots, scarlet macaws and toucans. We saw crocodiles, caymans, red eyed tree frogs and green sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs. It was truly incredible. We also again want to thank our driver Freddie for taking us all over Costa Rica and showing us so much. And also for helping us with our Spanish. The tour van was very comfortable and driving hundreds of miles of roads never bothered my back. We even saved a little money compared to renting a car and could just relax and enjoy the scenery. would highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Costa Rica for the first
time. Hats off to Enrique Balsevicius, our tour guide, who showed us the many
wonders of this beautiful country. Enrique’s vast knowledge of Costa Rica’s
history, wildlife and vegetation, together with his warm personality, made our
trip a most memorable one. Many thanks to Julia, who made all the wonderful
arrangements for our excursions and comfortable lodgings. Three cheers to Ruben,
our bus driver, whose experienced driving skills successfully got us to our
destinations each day through all sorts of road and weather challenges. Our
appreciation to Freddie, who drove us from San Jose to and from the El Diria
Hotel in Tamarind Beach on the Pacific side. Each day there brought sunny skies,
a beautiful sandy beach to walk on; a lovely room overlooking exotic gardens
surrounding a beautifully sculptured, scenic pool to swim in. The two weeks

My apologies, I meant to well before this send you a most sincere thank you for your aid in arranging our trip. It was much more than we expected. Your country is just wonderful. We were away this week in Philadelphia, meant to get back to you earlier. We will certainly recommend you to our friends, and if we get back next year will most certainly contact you.
